Happiest Season: Trailer for Kristen Stewart holiday romance film unwrapped

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

The first trailer for HAPPIEST SEASON, Hulu's holiday-themed romantic comedy has arrived and, I'm not going to lie, my heart is full after watching it. Starring Kristen Stewart and MacKenzie Davis, the film revolves around two women in love who hope to survive a Christmas family get-together without exposing the true nature of their relationship.

Here's the official logline:

Meeting your girlfriend’s family for the first time can be tough. Planning to propose at her family’s annual Christmas dinner — until you realize that they don’t even know she’s gay — is even harder. When Abby (Stewart) learns that Harper (Davis) has kept their relationship a secret from her family, she begins to question the girlfriend she thought she knew.

Alison Brie, Aubrey Plaza, Daniel Levy, Mary Holland, Burl Moseley, Victor Garber, and Mary Steenburgen co-star in a film that's bound to melt the hearts of many, while also providing plenty of laughs that will make stomachs jiggle like a bowl full of jelly.

Clea DuVall directs from a script she wrote with Mary Holland. Meanwhile, Maty Bowen and Isaac Klausner will produce, with Wyck Godfrey and Jonathan McCoy executive producing.

Perhaps it's that I've been in a great mood since the weekend but this movie looks positively adorable and I will watch the hell out of it. Daniel Levy is a gift and, dare I say that Kristen Stewart has come a long way since her days as Bella Swan for Summit Entertainment's Twilight film franchise. Let's roast some chestnuts on an open fire and get sappy for the holidays!

Happiest Season will premiere on Hulu Wednesday, November 25
