It seems like forever now that we've all been waiting for a sequel to one of my favorite horror-comedies of the past decade – screw that – all time BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON.
The last word we heard on the original film was that it is getting a Collector's Edition Blu-ray this March via Scream Factory and today it looks like we finally have news about BEFORE THE MASK: THE RETURN OF LESLIE VERNON!
Yes, it seems that the sequel is now in the works. But, unfortunately, that's all we know at this point. As you can see below, the Facebook post released this morning is lacking in the details department. That said, that sure looks like Angela Goethals and Ben Pace sitting to the left, huh? Yes, it does…

BEHIND THE MASK synopsis:
Nice, normal-looking Leslie Vernon (Nathan Baesel) has an obsession with movie-style slashers like Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, and Freddy Krueger. Leslie decides to follow in the footsteps of his heroes, and, ever the self-promoter, invites a documentary filmmaker (Angela Goethals) and her crew to follow him around as he constructs his own grisly legacy.
