Danny Trejo The Devil's Rejects Rob Zombie

I never thought that Rob Zombie would make a sequel to his films HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES and THE DEVIL'S REJECTS all these years down the line, and even after the sequel 3 FROM HELL was announced I didn't expect Danny Trejo to return as his REJECTS character Rondo in it… But, 3 FROM HELL exists and Trejo is back as Rondo. He seems to have a substantial role in, too. He even got his own character poster.

Zombie has been sharing 3 FROM HELL images on his Instagram account for a while, but he switched things up with the latest picture – instead of putting it on Instagram, he made it his cover image on Facebook. The focus of this image: "Danny Trejo is back as Rondo Chavez in 3 FROM HELL!!!"

The shot of Trejo in the film can be seen below.

The three cast members I did expect to see in any CORPSES / REJECTS follow-up that might happen are Bill Moseley, Sheri Moon Zombie, and Sid Haig, who are back as Otis, Baby, and Captain Spaulding, respectively. Along with Trejo, they're joined in the cast of 3 FROM HELL by Daniel Roebuck, Clint Howard, Richard Brake, Austin Stoker, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Richard Edson, Emilio Rivera, David Ury, Dee Wallace, Pancho Moler, Tom Papa, Dot-Marie Jones, Richard Riehle, Kevin Jackson, Billy Blair, Steven Michael Quezada, Bill Oberst Jr., Sylvia Jefferies, Sean Whalen, Chaz Bono, Barry Bostwick, and Jossara Jinaro.

An official synopsis has never been released for 3 FROM HELL, but we do know that Otis, Baby, and Captain Spaulding will be in prison when we catch up with them.

Lionsgate and Saban Films will be releasing the film sometime in the "September vicinity". It's rated R for "strong sadistic violence, language throughout, sexual content, graphic nudity, and drug use."
