McCarthy, Wiig, Jones, and McKinnon spotted in their Ghostbusters uniforms

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

A couple days ago, an image of Melissa McCarthy wearing her ghost busting uniform leaked out from the Boston set of director Paul Feig's GHOSTBUSTERS reboot. Where there's one Ghostbuster, the others usually aren't far behind, and now a new picture shows McCarthy standing with her fellow 'busters Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon, all suited up, ready to sling on their proton packs and wrangle some restless spirits.

When the uniforms were first revealed, hanging on a rack in a picture tweeted out by Feig, the costume design earned some kudos for not straying too far from the look of the uniforms worn by original Ghostbusters Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson. However, now that I see the uniforms on the new team, I'm wondering if we're going to see some kind of origin story evolution of the outfits over the course of the film, because something doesn't seem quite right about them in this image. They don't seem official yet. Maybe it's the lack of belts and name tags, or maybe they'll look better with the proton packs on their backs.

Well, this is just our first look at Feig's Ghostbusters, and we're likely to see more as the movie continues filming in Boston. We'll definitely see more of them next summer, when GHOSTBUSTERS reaches the big screen on July 22, 2016.

McCarthy, Wiig, Jones, and McKinnon are joined in the cast by Neil Casey, Chris Hemsworth, Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams, Matt Walsh, Pat Kiernan, and Cecily Strong.
