The Walking Dead might be slipping slightly in its ratings, but the seventh season is still going strong on the back of new powerhouse villain Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Morgan has confirmed that he will be returning to the already-announced eighth season of the AMC zombie series, telling Howard Stern:

I know I will be on board for season eight. We’ve finished [season seven] a week ago. The next two, I’m really big in. I’m fucking heavy in those.

If you're not a fan of the darker, more violent tone the show has taking, maybe you'll want to skip these ones. Negan has been a force of chaos, shaking up the dynamic of the show, so it will be interesting what he can pull out of his evil bag of tricks next year.

In the next episode of The Walking Dead, titled "Sing Me a Song," airing this Sunday at 9:00PM:

A deeper look at the Sanctuary and the world of the Saviors; members of Alexandria look for supplies.
