The Walking Dead companion series to be set in L.A.

Wonder no longer where “The Walking Dead” companion series will be taking place. TV Line is reporting that the show, which is gearing up for production as we speak, will be based in L.A.

That said, the site notes it isn’t a sure thing the series will be shot in Los Angeles; just that it is set there. It’s entirely possible they’ll shoot in Georgia, where the original series is based, or somewhere else that’s more cost-effective for AMC (which never has a problem pinching pennies).

Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey have all been cast in the show, which still doesn’t have an official title. (It’s been referred to as “Cobalt” in the past, but that’s probably just a code name.) All we know about the plot is that it concerns a “a good man trying to do right by everyone in his life,” his rebellious teenage son, and a thirty-something single mom and her two kids. Expect it to hit in lat e2015.
