The indie production BLOOD FROM STONE was clearly a passion project for filmmaker Geoff Ryan, who not only wrote and directed the film but also primarily financed it, executive produced, served as cinematographer, and did the production design. Not to mention the fact that he is also handling most of the post-production himself.

The trailer embedded below gives a glimpse of what has resulted from Ryan's efforts, and it looks quite impressive.

Starring Vanja Kapetanovic, Gabriella Toth, Nika Khitrova, and Eric Cotti, BLOOD FROM STONE tells the following story:

Amidst the flickering lights of a small gambling town in the Nevada desert, Darya (Gabriella Toth), has escaped to start a new life after being turned a vampire by Jure (Vanja Kapetanovic) and kept as his bride for centuries. Jure tracks her down in this new place and makes himself at home amongst the tourists and degenerates. As the bodies pile up, suspicions of the local authorities draw in on them forcing a clash of of immortals where there is no end, only destruction or creation, forgiveness or vengeance. A new era dawns for Darya if she could only escape the old one.

The film was produced by Michael Caradonna. Indie Rights is handling distribution sales.

BLOOD FROM STONE doesn't yet have a release date, but it's expected to make its way out into the world in late 2019.
