Woodshock Kirsten Dunst trailer A24

Less than 24 hours after sharing the poster for A24's latest genre-bending effort, WOODSHOCK, we've got an official trailer for the film to share. It's a bit much to handle this early in the morning; haven't even finished my coffee yet.

The plot of the film – written and directed by Kate and Laura Mulleavy – is sort of hazy, but that's fitting: It looks like most of the movie is spent looking through the POV of Kirsten Dunst's drug-addled character. Some David Lynch vibes can be found in the dreamy, ethereal preview, which only hints at potential thriller aspects toward the very end.

Here's the vague official synopsis:

Kirsten Dunst stars as Theresa, a haunted young woman spiraling in the wake of profound loss, torn between her fractured emotional state and the reality-altering effects of a potent cannabinoid drug.

Opening on September 15th, WOODSHOCK also stars Pilou Asbæk, Joe Cole, Lorelei Linklater, Steph DuVall and Jack Kilmer.
