Dealing with family can be tough when you don’t get along, but it’s a downright nightmare when you’re stuck on a Caribbean cruise with them. Such is Kristen Bell’s plight in the new movie LIKE FATHER, in which she plays a woman forced to deal with her estranged father (Kelsey Grammer) on a long, inescapable cruise. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Lauren Miller Rogen, and the movie also stars her lesser-known husband, Seth Rogen.
When a workaholic young executive (Bell) is left at the altar, she ends up on her Caribbean honeymoon cruise with the last person she ever expected: her estranged and equally workaholic father (Grammer). The two depart as strangers, but over the course of a few adventures, a couple of umbrella-clad cocktails, and a whole lot of soul-searching, they return with a renewed appreciation for family and life.
