Lengthy clip from Resident Evil: Retribution features Alice vs. Jill Valentine

JoBloJoBlo

At this year’s Comic Con, director Paul W.S. Anderson debuted a clip from the upcoming RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION, which features Alice (Milla Jovovich) fighting a blonde Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory) in a Siberian setting, while returning star Michelle Rodriguez catches some bullets and joins the fight.  Sounds about right, eh?

The clip is a dizzying array of slow motion leaps in the air, senseless “cat” landings, and booming electro-rock.  So, pretty much a rehash of every Resident Evil cliche you’ve come to expect.  I’m actually surprised at how boring it all is, as usually I can find something good in hot chicks wearing tight clothing and throwing down, but this just feels clumsy and yawn-inducing.  But, there’s an audience for these pics, so I won’t begrudge those who may enjoy this little rumpus.

300, this aint:

RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION is the fifth entry in this long, drawn-out series, starring Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Michelle Rodriguez, Oded Fehr, and Bingbing Li with a release set for September 14, 2012.
