Despite a very negative review when we reviewed CONSTANTINE’s pilot episode at San Diego Comic Con, there is still some excitement for NBC’s adaptation of the dark DC comics series. With a lot of changes in store after the pilot episode, fans will hopefully be pleasantly surprised as the series progresses.

As we near the fall premiere window for network series, featurettes and other media are making their way out to the masses to convince them to watch these new shows. This latest video for CONSTANTINE touts the work of composer Bear McCreary and gives us a taste of the music accompanying the supernatural series.

McCreary’s name may not ring bells for everyone but his work on series like BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, THE WALKING DEAD and AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. speaks for itself. His varied stylings can match any genre or mood and have added another level of depth to all these shows and more. This video shows that his CONSTANTINE score is going to take a creepy and heavy rock angle. In ways it is reminiscent of the work of Danny Elfman in various Tim Burton films. If the show can be as good as the music, it deserves a viewing.

CONSTANTINE premieres on NBC on October 24th.
