A new photo from the set of the CW's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover has revealed that Michael Keaton's Bruce Wayne / Batman will be featured as a part of the 5-episode event … sort of. As you can see from the image below, Keaton's Bruce Wayne appears on the front page of The Gotham Gazette, the city's premiere newspaper. The article reveals that Wayne is set to marry socialite Selina Kyle, and event set to take place presumably after the events of Tim Burton's BATMAN RETURNS.

Michael Keaton made his first apperance as the Dark Knight courtesy of Tim Burton's BATMAN (circa 1998). Keaton then reprised the role in 1992 for Burton's sequel, BATMAN RETURNS, alongside Michelle Pfeiffer as Selina Kyle / Catwoman and Danny DeVito's Penguin. To this day, Keaton's portrayal of the Caped Crusader is hailed by Bat-fans to be among the best ever. In fact, Keaton's version of the character is so beloved that fans have been climbing the walls for him to suit up once again as Gotham's Greatest Avenger, possibly as part of a "passing the torch" storyline. Alas, it sounds as if Bruce's image emblazoned on the cover of the Gotham Gazette is all fans will get … for now.

Starring alongside the regular cast members of each Arrowverse series, "Crisis on Infinite Earths" will also feature appearances by Tom Welling as Clark Kent / Superman, Tyler Hoechlin as Superman, Brandon Routh as Clark Kent/Superman and Ray Palmer/The Atom, Erica Durance as Lois Lane, Tom Cavanagh as Pariah, LaMonica Garrett as the Anti-Monitor, Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne, Cress Williams as Black Lightning, Johnathon Schaech as Jonah Hex, , Ashley Scott as Huntress, and Burt Ward in a role that has yet to be revealed.

The CW's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" will carry across ARROW, THE FLASH, SUPERGIRL, DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW and BATWOMAN. The 5-episode superhero spectacle kicks off with SUPERGIRL on Sunday, December 8th, which is set to be followed by BATWOMAN on Monday, December 9th. THE FLASH will follow on Tuesday, December 10th, and then the event will go on a bit of a holiday hiatus. Fear not though, my friends, the adventure will resume with ARROW on Tuesday January 14th at 8 p.m. and conclude with LEGENDS OF TOMORROW at 9 p.m.
