Chris Zylka will be giving Peter Parker a hard time as Flash Thompson in Spider-Man

There’s been a rumor going around that Chris Zylka will play super douche Flash Thompson in Marc Webb’s SPIDER-MAN. Well, apparently this rumor has been confirmed.

One of The Wrap’s inside sources, or as they call the person “an individual familiar with the project” has confirmed Zylka’s involvement. Zylka’s twitter sort of backs this up with a November 12th comment that says, “SPIDERMAN!!!!” That was probably his way of letting the news out without giving too many details. Or maybe he just really loves the wall crawler?

The only other person to take on the role of Thompson was Joe Manganiello in Raimi’s SPIDER-MAN. Manganiello is now known to many TRUE BLOOD fans as that hot, rugged werewolf guy aka Alcide Herveaux.

Thompson took his anger stemmed from an alcoholic father out on many puny kids, mainly Peter Parker. He was Thompson’s favorite target since, ya know, he wore glasses and liked science and school and stuff. But Thompson was a huge fan of Spidey when he first emerged and could never in a million years had guessed that Parker was the one under that suit. Flash was a typical popular jock who was friends with both Gwen Stacey and Mary Jane Watson.

Zylka has appeared in a few television and movie classics like MY SUPER PSYCHO SWEET 16, David R. Ellis’ untitled 3D shark thriller, and as the new Andrew Keegan on 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU.
