Christopher Nolan, Tenet, 2020

As usual, Christopher Nolan's upcoming film has been shrouded in secrecy, but as production gears up, we finally have something to call it other than Untitled Christopher Nolan Project. It's been announced that the film will go by the title of TENET. In addition, a new group of actors have joined up, including Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kenneth Branagh, Clémence Poésy, Dimple Kapadia, and, of course, Michael Caine, who has appeared in nearly all of Nolan's film.

This new group of actors will join a cast led by John David Washington and including Elizabeth Debicki, and Robert Pattinson. TENET is being described as an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage which will be filmed on location across seven countries. Christopher Nolan will be directing his own original screenplay and will also use a mix of IMAX and 70mm film to bring TENET to life. The behind-the-scenes crew includes director of photography Hoyte van Hoytema, production designer Nathan Crowley, editor Jennifer Lame, costume designer Jeffrey Kurland, and visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson. The score is being composed by Ludwig Göransson. That's about all we know about TENET, and the cast are unlikely to spill any secrets.

Robert Pattinson has previously said that he was "sworn to secrecy" regarding the film, and that when it came time to read the script, he had to be locked in a room.

I got locked in a room to read the script – I don't have it myself. I've been a little wary of doing big movies for years and years, but there's just something about Chris Nolan's stuff. He seems like the only director now who can do what is essentially a very personal, independent movie that has huge scale. I read the script and it's unreal.

Warner Bros. has already slated TENET for a July 17, 2020 release.
