In case you were worried that everyone's favorite killer doll wouldn't be able to be the foul-mouthed Good Guy doll we're used to simply because he's on TV, you're in luck! Creator Don Mancini has revealed exactly how many F-bombs are allowed on the upcoming USA and SYFY series, Chucky.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Child's Play and Chucky creator, Don Mancini, revealed that has been given the green light by USA and SYFY to have Chucky utter a maximum of ten F-bombs per episode, which is plenty according to Mancini:

"Syfy and USA have a strong appetite, as strong as ours, for keeping the TV series tonally in check with what the fans want to see. Before we even sold the show, we had to confirm with the network that Chucky could drop his F-bombs. Chucky gets 10 F-bombs per episode, so that's more than enough. It made me want to do an episode where Chucky, without ever having said anything off-color, at the end of the episode, he just turns to the camera and goes, 'F—, f—, f—, f—, f—, f—, f—, f—, f—.' It's the inverse of the way Spielberg used Chucky in his cameo in Ready Player One. Since that was a PG-13, they had one mandated F-bomb at their disposal and Spielberg chose to deploy it with Chucky's appearance, which I loved."

Chucky will pick up after a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a yard sale. The idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of murders begin to expose the town's secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies, and allies, from Chucky's past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the doll's untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who became a notorious monster. The series brings back Brad Dourif as the voice of our favorite killer doll and Jennifer Tilly is back in the ranks as his girlfriend Tiffany. Rounding out the cast is Devon Sawa, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, Fiona Dourif, Zackary Arthur, Teo Briones, Bjorgvin Arnarson, and Alyvia Alyn Lind.

You can check out Chucky and all of his F-bombs when the TV series premieres on October 12, 2021, on USA and SYFY!
