Eli Roth & Jack Black tapped for The House with a Clock in its Walls film

Now that Eli Roth's DEATH WISH remake is complete, Amblin Entertainment has tapped the muli-talented filmmaker to direct THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS with Jack Black set to star.

The film will be shot as an adaptation of the 1973 John Bellairs book illustrated by Edward St. John Gorey, which is part of a twelve-book series. SUPERNATURAL creator and writer Eric Kripke will pen the script in addition to producing alongside Brad Fischer and James Vanderbilt. The film tells the tale of a recently orphaned 10-year-old boy who discovers a world of hidden passageways, magic and danger in his Uncle’s old house.

As I'd mentioned earlier, Roth has just wrapped on his DEATH WISH remake, which stars Bruce Willis who will reprise the role of Paul Kersey with Vincent D'Onofrio, Mike Epps, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Dean Norris, Elisabeth Shue, and Beau Knapp also set to appear.

For the moment, THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS is looking to begin production this fall, though you can catch DEATH WISH when it comes to theaters on November 22nd.
