Final look trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters will knock you out!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

It won't be long now before the King of Kaiju, Godzilla, stomps his way back into theaters for Michael Dougherty's GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS. Following the destruction-happy events of GODZILLA and KONG: SKULL ISLAND, the KRAMPUS director's turn with the iconic Japanese titan follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed Ghidorah.  When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

As you can see, today's new trailer is an all-out assault on the senses, as it promotes possibly the most outrageous monster mash of this generation. For real, this trailer has got it goin' on! You've got Godzilla in one corner, King Ghidorah in another, Mothra raining down hellfire from the skies, and Rodan ready to beat some ass from out of the dust and fog. All of the mayhem is accompanied by the classic LL Cool J jam, "Mama Said Knock You Out," a track that's always willing and ready to get some blood rushing through your veins.

Dougherty directed from a script he wrote with Zach Shields, based on a story by Max Borenstein and Michael Dougherty & Zach Shields. The film also boasts an all-star cast, including Millie Bobby Brown (Netflix's STRANGER THINGS), Kyle Chandler (THE WOLF OF WALL STREET), Vera Farmiga (THE CONJURING franchise), Bradley Whitford (GET OUT), Sally Hawkins (THE SHAPE OF WATER) Charles Dance (HBO’s GAME OF THRONES, LAST ACTION HERO), Thomas Middleditch (HBO's SILICON VALLEY), Aisha Hinds (STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON), David Strathairn (GODZILLA), with Oscar nominee Ken Watanabe (INCEPTION, THE LAST SAMURAI) and Golden Globe nominee Ziyi Zhang (CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON).

You'll be able to witness the beat down between kaiju royalty in theaters beginning on May 31, 2019. Oh, and be sure to wear your running shoes to the cinema, folks, because you're gonna need 'em.
