Over the course of several years, fans successfully campaigned Warner Bros. to allow Zack Snyder to fully realize his vision for JUSTICE LEAGUE, but that film isn't the only DC flick that fans would like to see the director's cut of. David Ayer's SUICIDE SQUAD had plenty of footage that was left on the cutting room floor, and when he was asked about the possibility of an Ayer Cut of the film earlier this year, David Ayer said that his version of the film "would be easy to complete," and would also be "incredibly cathartic for me. It’s exhausting getting your ass kicked for a film that got the Edward Scissorhands treatment. The film I made has never been seen."

David Ayer recently debunked rumours that the Ayer Cut of SUICIDE SQUAD would also be heading to HBO Max at some point in the future, but the interest for the Ayer Cut is still there, including from actors involved in the production. While speaking on Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused podcast, Margot Robbie was asked for her thoughts regarding the Ayer Cut of the film.

I never saw the Ayer Cut. I know we shot a lot of stuff that didn't make it into the movie. I would be very curious myself.

When Horowitz mentioned that Jared Leto had gotten the chance to reprise his role of the Joker for Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE, Margot Robbie said, "Really? I didn't know that. Cool." We've seen small teases of David Ayer's version of SUICIDE SQUAD, including a page from the original script which features Joker (Jared Leto) working with Enchantress (Cara Delevingne) during the final act. Ayer also added that the scene was shot and edited before it was cut from the final film. While it remains to be seen whether we'll ever get to see David Ayer's director's cut of SUICIDE SQUAD, Zack Snyder's four hour version of JUSTICE LEAGUE will debut on HBO Max sometime next year.

Would you be down to see the Ayer Cut of SUICIDE SQUAD?
