New poster for Onur Tukel’s vampire comedy Summer of Blood

Last Updated on July 22, 2021

The vampire genre is alive and well and looking for blood as writer/director Onur Tukel is taking a stab at the genre with SUMMER OF BLOOD, a horror-comedy that sees a lazy, socially awkward man get turned into a vampire. We have a new poster for the flick below, proudly announcing just how wonderful of a guy he is. What's great, though, is that it's actually the exact opposite of that as the poster showers its main character in quotes that say nothing but terrible things about him. Kind of makes you want to see it even more doesn't it? Look for SUMMER OF BLOOD in theaters and on VOD on October 17th!

SUMMER OF BLOOD follows…

…the monumentally lazy, socially oblivious and commitment-shy Erik Sparrow, who is dumped by his career-woman girlfriend (Anna Margaret Hollyman, White Reindeer) when he rejects her rather charitable marriage proposal. Feeling lost, he turns to a disastrous string of online dates that successively eat away at his already-deteriorating confidence until a lanky vampire turns him into an undead ladykiller. Soon, Eric is prowling the streets of Brooklyn in search of anything to satisfy both his maniacal sex drive and his hunger for blood.

SUMMER OF BLOOD stars Onur Tukel (Septien, Red Flag), Alex Karpovsky (Girls), Anna Margaret Hollyman (Gayby, White Reindeer), Dakota Goldhor (Thumbsucker), Dustin Guy Defa (Bad Fever) and Keith Poulson (Hellaware, Listen Up Phillip).
