Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Prepare to get re-sleeved as Netflix has finally dropped a full trailer for the sophomore season of their original sci-fi series ALTERED CARBON. Taking place 30 years after the stunning conclusion of Season One, Season Two of the sophisticated and compelling sci-fi drama finds Takeshi Kovacs (Anthony Mackie), the lone surviving soldier of a group of elite interstellar warriors, continuing his centuries old quest to find his lost love Quellcrist Falconer (Renée Elise Goldsberry). After decades of planet-hopping and searching the galaxy, Kovacs finds himself recruited back to his home planet of Harlan’s World with the promise of finding Quell. Haunted by his past and responsible for investigating a series of brutal murders, Kovacs is stunned to discover his new mission to solve the crime and his pursuit to find Quell are one and the same. With the help of his loyal A.I. Poe (Chris Conner), Kovacs must now partner with new allies to outwit his enemies and find the truth: Who is Quellcrist Falconer?

Altered Carbon, Season Two, Anthony Mackie

As you can see from the above trailer, ALTERED CARBON Season Two looks to be packing even more action, humor, and mystery into its latest episodic effort. It would appear that in addition to being re-introduced to Takeshi Kovacs, the new season will also delve into Quellcrist's story, therefore providing us with more insight as to where she's been since all the body-swapping sci-fi madness began. Moreover, it also looks as if Takeshi will come face to face with, well, his own face, when another version of Kovacs is unleashed and is thirsty for re-programmed-style revenge.

Other cast members to be included as a part of the show's intense, new season are Simone Missick (LUKE CAGE) as Trepp, Lela Loren (POWER) as Danica Harlan, Dina Shihabi (TOM CLANCY'S JACK RYAN) as Dig 301, Torben Liebrecht (HOMELAND) as Colonel Ivan Carrera, James Saito (ALWAYS BE MY MAYBE) as Tanaseda Hideki, with Season One stars Renee Elise Goldsberry and Chris Connor returning as Quellcrist Falconer and Poe, respectively.

ALTERED CARBON Season 2 will premiere on Netflix beginning on February 27, 2020.
