Star Wars: Rogue One

Birth.Movies.Death has been pretty on point when it comes to Star Wars scoops, and they have an interesting one on the first planned anthology film from director Gareth Edwards. The site has learned that Darth Vader will be in STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE, and although the former Jedi-turned-Sith won't be the main baddie, he will be pulling the strings from behind the scenes.

BMD's source couldn't confirm if Darth Vader will appear in the flesh, but "he'll be showing up via viewscreen or holo projection or something" at the very least. If true, that means we'll be getting the full-on evil badass Vader, since the film is set between Episodes III and IV. The source also couldn't say whether or not Death Star commander Grand Moff Tarkin will also be making an appearance.

There's no word on if James Earl Jones will once again be providing the voice of the villain, but he did return for Star Wars Rebels, so I think he likely will be back for the anthology film. That is unless, of course, they want to go with a new voice for Vader. What are your thoughts on Vader possibly appearing in Gareth Edwards' Star Wars spin-off movie?

STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE is scheduled to be released on December 16, 2016.
