Starz greenlights second season of Ash vs Evil Dead

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

The 10-episode first season of the half-hour series featuring Bruce Campbell and his return to the character of Ash from the EVIL DEAD films begins this Saturday. If that wasn't exciting enough, Starz has already greenlit a second season! Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and (of course) Bruce Campbell will return for the second season with showrunner Craig DiGregorio. Campbell will continue in his role as Ash Williams, the aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter, and Lucy Lawless is also set to return as Ruby, a mysterious figure who believes Ash is the cause of the Evil outbreaks.

With the first 4 minutes of the pilot episode now online for your viewing pleasure, I have a hard time believing that any fans of the EVIL DEAD flicks are NOT excited to check out this show! The humor is on point and Bruce Campbell looks like he's having a hell of a time with a chainsaw back in hand…or rather, in place of it. The fact that Starz is preemptively greenlighting a second season bodes very well for what's to come! Hail to the king!

Ash vs Evil Dead airs this Saturday on Starz!
