The Green Destiny lives on in new Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2 trailer

Years ago, I sat down in a theater to watch CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON for the very first time; it was beautiful, stunning, and featured fight choreography unlike any I'd seen at that time. Sixteen years later and we're on the verge of witnessing the sequel, CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON: SWORD OF DESTINY. Michelle Yeoh has returned to reprise her role of Yu Shu Lien and the original films martial arts choreographer, Yuen Woo-ping, returned to take over directing duties from Ang Lee. A brand new trailer for CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON: SWORD OF DESTINY has been released, check it out!

While this trailer definitely makes CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON: SWORD OF DESTINY comes across a little better than the first one did, I'm still not entirely sold on the concept; it feels a little cheap and looks to be lacking in any of the beautiful visuals its predecessor had, it's also a little strange to hear them speaking English as opposed to Mandarin. Will I still be giving it a watch? Absolutely.

CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON: SWORD OF DESTINY debuts on Netflix and select IMAX theaters on February 26, 2016.
