Jim CaviezelPG-13 rating or no, I have to say that either way I’m not particularly opinionated about THE EXPENDABLES 2.  But THE TOMB? I can tell you right now that if THE TOMB ends up fulfilling even merely most of it’s promise I shall be well satisfied.

With casting revealed by producer Mark Canton (300, IMMORTALS) on The Mathew Aaron show, any questions as to whether they’d find a good enough actor to counter Stallone and Schwarzennegger can now be quelled.  In a great bit of casting, “[Jim] Caviezel will be playing the role of the Warden of the prison in which Schwarzenegger & Stallone attempt to escape from.”  Now the question is, how malevolent will his character be? Is this a “Prisoner”/ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ – type situation? And which would you rather see, the evil or the man just trying to do his job?

Caviezel currently stars in Jonathan Nolan’s CBS drama “Person Of Interest.”  You can listen to the rest of the interview here.

Plot recap: THE TOMB follows Ray Breslin (Stallone) who is the world’s foremost authority on structural security. He’s analyzed every high security prison and has gained a vast array of survival skills. But all Ray’s ingenuity and knowledge are about to be put to work in the most challenging test he’s ever faced: escaping from the master prison of his own design.
