Vin Diesel says deep character relationships are why we’re getting Fast Seven

We’ve been hearing about possible sixth and seventh FAST AND FURIOUS films for a while now. Another one was assumed after how well FAST FIVE did, but two more lined up already? It seemed a bit much.

But now Vin Diesel is speaking about what that’s the case, and the reason a seventh film is necessary for the series:

“With the success of this last one, and the inclusion of so many characters, and the broadening of scope, when we were sitting down to figure out what would fit into the real estate of number six, we didn’t have enough space. We have to pay off this story, we have to service all of these character relationships, and when we started mapping all that out it just went beyond 110 pages.”

Yeah, we all love The Fast and the Furious for those…character relationships. Sure, Vin.

Half the cast of the original has been killed off at this point, but there’s one member who appears to have risen from the grave if you watched the closing moments of FAST FIVE. All I’ve got to say is The Rock better be coming back.
