It’s been nearly a year and a half since BATTLEFIELD 3 hit consoles and PCs. Now with BATTLEFIELD 4 due to release Fall of this year, we get 17 minutes of gameplay thanks to EA.
Verdict thus far?
Honestly? It looks okay so far. The biggest jump in my opinion was from BATTLEFIELD: BAD COMPANY and BATTLEFIELD 3 due to the upgrade to the Frostbite engine. I think it’s really too early to tell. I’m sure with this game they will be able to explore the limits of the Frostbite engine, and maybe from that we will get some definite improvements. For the most part, it really looks the same as the last installment. I do look forward to seeing what they have added to gameplay. The animation does seem to be a bit better along with the color, lighting, etc. It would be nice to get some new weapons as well.
