Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s HITRECORD ON TV is set to premiere on new cable channel Pivot on January 18th but you can watch the full first episode online now for free. Pivot being a new channel not available on all carriers, this may be the only way for many fans of the DON JON and INCEPTION actor’s exploits to enjoy his first foray into television since the sitcom 3RD ROCK FROM THE SUN.

Gordon-Levitt has been running his artistic community HitRecord for a while now and has produced films, books, and other creative exploits. This new series will mark the first crowd-sourced television series to get major exposure thanks to the actor’s rabid fanbase. This first episode presents a very odd amalgam of animation, skits, music, short films, and more. All of this is tied together loosely by Gordon-Levitt playing the emcee and host of the show.

Whether it proves to be a hit or not, HITRECORD ON TV is a very unique project that shows a lot of passion and creativity. If anything, this should satiate fans of Joseph Gordon-Levitt until his next movie hits screens.
