Bond business

With CASINO ROYALE raking in half a billion at the global poker table and rolling into your living room on top-secret data disc in mid-March, information about the next Bond mission is being declassified. We know that Daniel Craig will be back (huzzah!) and bloodweeper Mads Mikkelsen probably won’t, but beyond that, what?

Well, Giancarlo Giannini’s double agent will likely return, and though 007 won’t be getting his equipment from Q in the foreseeable future, there’s still a chance the Bond-fawning Miss Moneypenny (she puts the “secret” in “secretary”!) might appear later in the newly rebooted series. And whatever tuxedo-requiring assignment Bond is sent on, it reportedly will NOT be based on author Ian Fleming’s story “Risico” as previously rumored — the next movie starring the latest 007 will be an original story from screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.

Either way, the 22nd (or second, depending on how you look at it) James Bond movie is planned for a November 2008 release.
