New Godzilla international trailer brings awesome new footage!

A new international trailer for Warner Bros’ GODZILLA remake has just smashed apart the ‘net, offering a few new images to get us worked up over. Not much new in terms of getting a look at the big guy himself (although there is a pretty neat silhouette of him at one point), but perhaps the coolest reveal is what appears to be a flying monster who might just be Rodan, one of Godzilla’s most memorable foes. (He shows up at the 1:18 mark in the trailer.)

An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

Gareth Edwards directs GODZILLA, which opens on May 16th. It stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“Kick-Ass”), Oscar® nominee Ken Watanabe (“The Last Samurai,” “Inception”), Elizabeth Olsen (“Martha Marcy May Marlene”), Oscar® winner Juliette Binoche (“The English Patient,” “Cosmopolis”), and Sally Hawkins (“Blue Jasmine”), with Oscar® nominee David Strathairn (“Good Night, and Good Luck.,” “The Bourne Legacy”) and Bryan Cranston (“Argo,” TV’s “Breaking Bad”).
