Trailer for Chad Feehan’s haunted motel flick Wake, starring Jaime-Lynn Sigler

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

With this year’s South by South West Film Festival firmly underway, we’re no doubt bound to catch the skinny on all kinds of cool looking indie genre efforts in the next week or two. Chad Feehan’s haunted motel thriller WAKE is no exception, as we not only saw some new stills from the flick a short time ago, we now have a brand new trailer for inspection. If you feel so inclined, do so below!

Written by Feehan himself, and starring Josh Stewart, Chris Browning, Angela Featherstone, Afemo Omilami, Trevor Morgan, Christopher Gessner, Robert Maxhimer, Jeannetta Arnette, Carlease Burke, Chris Hayes & Melissa Bacelar – WAKE goes a little like this:

Driving to a wedding in Los Angeles through the Mojave Desert, Paul and Adrienne seem destined for a life of genuine love and happiness. Road-weary, they decide to stop for the night at lonely Roy’s Motel and Cafe. This roadside artifact proves to be a strange and surreal place with an unsettling mix of travelers, including front-desk manager Frank and his promiscuous wife Sandy. Ultimately, these ill-fated lovers lead Paul and Adrienne down a path of tense and emotionally charged experiences. In the end, a horrifying secret from Paul’s past is revealed with grave consequences for all parties involved.

Hmm. Just vague enough to warrant some intrigue. I will say this, I dig these kinds of films. Not only do we have a deserted hotel setting, I like when a person or couple is on a journey, and on the way encounters all kinds of shady mofos with dastardly ulterior motives. This could, and I stress COULD…be a real winner!

No release dates are known yet, but stay up, we should have something shortly.

The lovely Jamie-Lynn Sigler!
