Yahoo just debuted the trailer for the upcoming BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT animated feature, which you have got to check out. You can do that HERE. Why do you have to check it out? As the trailer itself says, to "witness Batman's journey to THE DARK KNIGHT". I've said it before and I'll say it again: if you turn to me while I'm trying to watch THE DARK KNIGHT and ask me how something happened, I will flat out kill you. And I'm no lawyer but I'm pretty sure a jury of our peers would agree you got off lightly.

Like THE ANIMATRIX, GOTHAM KNIGHT will call upon the talents of several acclaimed directors who each make their own story. Kevin Conroy will once again be playing Bats, and my penis will be playing my massive boner for this film.

Source: Yahoo

Extra Tidbit: The bat is a mammal in the order Chiroptera, which comes from the Greek words for "hand" and "wing". I totally didn't get that from Wikipedia. I'm hella smart.

BRING ON THE BAT, BABY!!
I don't care who's doing what in this masterpiece...I decided to buy this DVD the moment I knew it was coming out! I was kinda' sad when they said Bale wasn't voicing the Bat, but then they said Conroy would and wow...instant goosebumps!!

tears of joy
it actually put tears of joy in my eyes to hear kevin conroys voice as batman again :) I just hope they'll put his voice in all the episodes. I can't really see christian bale's voice in any of the episodes. but maybe that's just the opinion of a bats fan :)

According to IMDB, Will Friedle (Terry McGinnis/Eric Matthews) has a part as Anton/Cultist/Youth #1.

With Kevin Conroy lending his amazing voice once again to Batman count me in for that reason alone. But I'll be looking to see if I can find your penis as the massive boner, is it a cameo?

I very much doubt this is authentically meant to be the tales of what happened between the movies, it's just you know, a WB tie in slogan. Although, unlike Xander I highly doubt that The Dark Knight is meant to take place immediately after Batman Begins, clearly time has progressed. But I'm really glad that for the first time since the 90s we're getting an animated Batman that reflects the dark...

Although, unlike Xander I highly doubt that The Dark Knight is meant to take place immediately after Batman Begins, clearly time has progressed. But I'm really glad that for the first time since the 90s we're getting an animated Batman that reflects the darkness of the character/world perfectly. And Kevin Conroy! When will WB learn that this is the way to present Batman (not necessarily anime...) the way the old Animated Series did. Every new series they've produced in the last few years (The Batman, the new one Cartoon Network has got coming out) has been so cartoony and kiddy it's ridiculous. I realize that Batman mainly appeals to kids (as well as older fans like us) but that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice the character's nature. I grew up with the Bruce Timm animated series and I was just as interested in the dark Batman as a child as I am now.

Agreed. However, I think that of the six stories, only two of them are real "events". For example, one of the stories is just about a bunch of kids who run into Bats one day. It isn't really "all this shit", I don't think, ya know?

I still don't see how this whole thing bridges into the next movie.. at the end of the first they mentioned the Joker right away. It seems hard to believe that Batman did all of this shit in between the two movies.

In the new one is he going to be like, "Remember that time I defeated Killer Croc?"

Anyways.. I am really excited to see a good animated Batman again.....

Article a little misleading
Directors aren't exactly making their own stories.

According to the WB site:

"Acclaimed screenwriters including David Goyer (Batman Begins), Josh Olson (A History of Violence) and Alan Burnett (Batman The Animated Series) join forces with revered animation filmmakers on six spellbinding chapters..."

Still wary about this whole idea...
I will ...

I will definitely be borrowing the DVD from a friend.

Great
I really enjoyed the Animatrix it was the one movie out of the 4 that had the most ideas to explore into this bigger world with so many different stories to tell. I hope the same is true with this and if Chris Nolan is involved then it will be!!!

Well at least Kevin Conroy has an authentic american accent. And a jawbone. I'm sorry but Christian 'I do my interviews in character' Bale's whistling fauxmerican accent sucks balls. There, just needed to share that,
