As the headline implies, if the following report is true, it constitutes a potential SPOILER for the impending IRON MAN. Do not continue if you want to see the movie later this week without a SPOILER.

'Kay?

Some time during filming on Jon Favreau's armored opus, the feline was released from the proverbial sack that actor Sam Jackson would appear in a cameo as eyepatch-wearing S.H.I.E.L.D. honcho Nick Fury. Since then, we've heard the scene had been excised from the final film, possibly to appear only as a DVD extra.

Looks like Favs was pulling a fast one -- the scene was apparently omitted for all preview and press screenings (so as not to spoil the surprise, whoops), but will indeed be included when the flick hits your local theater. Fury reportedly shows up at the end and, as Rich Johnston says in his reliable comic column Lying in the Gutters, "he's recruiting for a group called The Avengers."

Ha! Fucking cool!! I read the novelization of the screenplay and I thought I couldn't be spoiled! Motherfucker!! That Favs is a crafty little prick. This is really cool.

I just caught a screening of Iron Man today in Paris, all i have to say is say, besides the fact the movie was awesome, is stay for the entire credits and a minute after. its worth it

i just saw a sneak peak, and that scene isnt in it (which is what you had stated, not in the preview screenings) which is fuckin LAME! But fear not Cyrusk... there is nothing after the credits

I just saw Iron Man at a midnight screening and the nick fury scene was nowhere to be found, i doubt this was a preview version as the film opens oficially in about 15 hours here.
unless the scene is after the credits in which case i missed it :/.
