Von Trier's next

After successfully creating a movie that made me never want to have sex again (ANTICHRIST) Lars von Trier is moving on to his next project, quizzically described as a "psychological disaster film" called PLANET MELANCHOLIA.
All we know so far is that it's in English, it’s got a $7.4M budget and von Trier promises, “No more happy endings!” Ha. Ha. His business partner, Peter Aalbaek Jensen, had slightly more to say:
Jensen has promised a mix of spectacular, cinematic imagery with Dogme-style handheld camerawork -- a combination seen in "Antichrist." Referring to a cringe-inducing scene in that film, Jensen, however, said he hoped no genitals would be cut off in "Planet Melancholia."
He “hopes” no genitals will be cut off. That doesn’t sound like a promise to me. In retrospect, I guess ANTICHRIST was nice enough to ruin sex for BOTH genders, instead of making it a one-sided affair.
Look for PLANET MELANCHOLIA at Cannes in 2011.

To each his own, eh? I personally am excited about this new project based on the title alone...
