Cage/Bellucci poster!
UPDATE: My bad! As it turns out, Monica Bellucci was originally slated to star in this film, as Cage's wife, but had to pull out due to her pregnancy, and was replaced by actress Bridget Moynahan. Unfortunately, several sources still had her in their credits, which messed me up. Anyway, she is NOT in this movie, but the movie still sound damn interesting. Thanks to 'David' for the head's up.

reader emailed us the other day, busting chops about how we
"sometimes" don't seem to sound like we know all that much
about a certain movie on which we're reporting. Well, I'm probably
the biggest perpetrator of this crime, but the truth is that at the
end of the day, we really are a lot like you guys in that, we are
movie fans through and through, but don't have time to know about
every single detail of every single movie out there. We do our best
within our means (most of the guys working on the site have day
jobs, are married, go to school, etc...) and hopefully that's good
enough for most of you-- I think the guy was cool with us too, he
was mostly just busting balls.
That said, I have NO IDEA
where this movie, LORD
OF WAR, comes from, and it appears to be only a few months away
from release. How did this get by everyone? The film is written and
directed by the dude who wrote GATTACA and THE TRUMAN SHOW, Andrew
Niccol, and stars Nicolas Cage, Ethan
Hawke, Jared Leto, Bridget Moynahan, Jeffrey Wright, Ian Holm and
Monica Bellucci!!

Check this: An arms dealer (Cage) who schemes his way to the top of his profession only to face an enemy he never expected: his conscience. But it's not easy to leave behind a life of girls, guns and glamour, when no-one wants you to stop, not even your enemies. Sweeeeeet. Anyway, the film is slated for a September 30th release. I'm there! PS: Someone just pointed out that we had actually taken an early picture of this film's poster in Cannes last year. Check that out HERE. The new one's much better!
