As if you needed more incentive to check out CLOVERFIELD tomorrow, the brand new teaser for JJ Abrams' STAR TREK will be attached. While you won't get a shot of Scotty beaming anyone up or Spock doing a Vulcan neck pinch (yes, my STAR TREK knowledge is that limited), you will get a look at the brand new USS Enterprise. Also giving us a sneak peek at the Enterprise is Moviefone who has the first look at what the ship will look like in STAR TREK. What you see below is just a teaser - you'll have to click on the image to see the whole magilla at Moviefone. As I alluded to earlier, I'm not a huge Trekkie so I'll avoid making uneducated judgments. But I AM curious to hear what real Trekkies think. Let us know below...

Not a Trekkie by any means. I actually dont remember ever watching any of the films through the whole run time. I wish I was excited for this, but I aint.

Ahhh!
I remember, fondly, that as a lad my parents would let me stay up late only so long as it was to watch Star Trek and TNG. Of course, I'd still flip over to Cinemax during commercials...

getting your hate on...
dont trekkies hate being called that? and why arent star wars geeks called warsies? not a huge fan of either (closest i have is the family guy spoof blue harvest on dvd)...and if i'm not mistaken, this is a re tread of the original, so not much in the way of effects or whatever.



seems to me we should be going forward, not backwards, no? then again, i hate "period piece" films...

seems to me we should be going forward, not backwards, no? then again, i hate "period piece" films anyway, except for brotherhood of the wolf. lets get futuristic on yo' ass and move forward to the way the earth should be represented, in a luscious super green shangri-la and not the dystopic version presented in bladerunner...i want more high-tech, f*#ker.
