The first INTERNATIONAL trailer for Antoine Fuqua‘s THE EQUALIZER has been released, giving us a great first look at Fuqua’s big screen version of the 1980’s television series of the same name. The director has teamed up with his TRAINING DAY star Denzel Washington for the new movie, and Washington appears to be in full badass mode for THE EQUALIZER. The trailer has a MAN ON FIRE vibe I’m really digging, and even though I never saw the TV show, I definitely want to check out Fuqua’s THE EQUALIZER.

Test screenings for Denzel Washington and Antoine Fuqua‘s new film have been so successful THE EQUALIZER 2 is already in the works, which is a little surprising since it would be the first sequel for the actor. If Washington wants to come back for another movie and they’re already thinking about ideas for a sequel, I think that’s a good sign for THE EQUALIZER, but with that also comes high expectations. However I’m fairly confident THE EQUALIZER will deliver exactly what most people want from the new movie: Denzel Washington being a bad mother trucker.
THE EQUALIZER also stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Melissa Leo, Marton Csokas, Bill Pullman, Haley Bennett and Vladimir Kulich, and will open on September 26, 2014.
