Rumor: Full Star Wars 7 trailer will be attached to Avengers: Age of Ultron

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

the STAR WARS: EPISODE VII – THE FORCE AWAKENS teaser nearly broke the Internet on Friday and yet folks have still found reasons to whine about it. I loved all eighty-eight seconds of it and I am glad we still have a long way to go before we know anything else about J.J. Abrams‘ sequel to RETURN OF THE JEDI. How long we have to wait for more footage is unknown, but we know when the next major reveal may be.

SlashFilm are under the impression from their sources that the full trailer for STAR WARS: EPISODE VII – THE FORCE AWAKENS will arrive on May 1, 2015 attached to, you guessed it, AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. This makes perfect sense since that is right at the historical release date for all prior STAR WARS movies as well as being Disney’s other huge release for the next calendar year. Whether we see anything between now and then is unknown, but that date is almost exactly seven months in advance of the STAR WARS: EPISODE VII – THE FORCE AWAKENS release date and a prime spot to build to what could be the biggest sequel release of all time.

Disney would be foolish to not attach something to AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, so a full trailer seems the best best. Or, at the very least, a longer teaser which gives Disney a fail-safe of the July release for ANT-MAN to attach a full trailer. In either case, we can re-watch both AVENGERS and FORCE AWAKENS teasers as we get through these cold winter months.

STAR WARS: EPISODE VII – THE FORCE AWAKENS hits theaters on December 18, 2015.
