If you're the kind of person who wants to go into STAR WARS: EPISODE VII – THE FORCE AWAKENS knowing as little as possible, THIS ARTICLE IS NOT FOR YOU! Turn away now, take Shmi Skywalker's advice, and don't look back. While this is all still rumor at this point, it does get pretty detailed as far as the plot of THE FORCE AWAKENS goes as well as who some of the characters are. MakingStarWars.net claims to have a source and while they admit that the information has yet to be verified, it may hold some weight. At the very least, it's worth discussing! Scroll past BB-8 to see what all the fuss is about!

Alright, so let's dig into it, shall we? There's been a lot of speculation over who John Boyega's character, Finn, is. Evidently this source says that Finn’s family was murdered by The Empire and he was forced into recruitment along with his best friend (rumored to be Pip Andersen). In the opening scene in the film, we see Finn's best friend is killed right in front of him. Shortly after this, Finn meets Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac). Through a series of events, Finn, Poe and Rey (Daisy Ridley) end up as the Empire's prisoners, and have to steal an advanced TIE fighter to escape. The TIE crashes and Finn ends up injured.

Max von Sydow plays a former Rebel Alliance veteran now dealing in antiquities and as it turns out, BB-8 has a lightsaber with vital information inside of it. Why not? Worked for R2. Evidently the crystal in this lightsaber has the ability to open up an ancient Sith tomb containing the body of an evil being.  The lightsaber also leads the gang to Han Solo, which we learn is Rey's father.  Apparently he's none too pleased with his daughter getting mixed up in the kind of adventures he did.

Now, if you're up-to-date with your Star Wars rumors, you've heard that the villain carrying that nifty lightsaber with the cross-guard, Kylo Ren, is searching for artifacts. What for? Well evidently he knows one of these opens up the tomb. Apparently this is some real Ark of Covenant stuff we have going on. Guarding this tomb is none other than Luke Skywalker, who is also being tormented by evil spirits in the process of trying to figure out how to open it (this may explain his disheveled look).

Meanwhile, the character played by Domhnall Gleeson is the son of a "huge character." Evidently he was a rebel for a good while before defecting to the Empire. Why would any hero want to do that? Apparently the Rebel Alliance has some less-than-stellar characters in its midst and he disagreed with the construction of a secret super weapon. The Rebel's version of the Death Star? Interesting. Gleeson's role in the Empire is hunting down Finn (John Boyega) but secretly, he looks to destroy the super weapons on both sides.

Also on Finn's trail is Gwendoline Christie's character who is lead shock trooper. Her chrome armor also has a black and red cape. She's capable of using a lightsaber and also has the ability to cloak herself. Her face is said to be heavily scarred and her character sports a military haircut.

There you have it! Whether or not these plot details come to light, we'll see, but it's fun to discuss. I generally am not into digging up each and every plot detail before seeing a movie, but I'm also a firm believer that if a film is a good one, knowing the story in advance won't hurt it. Sure, it's fun to discover things for the first time in the theater, but think about your favorite films that you love to rewatch. You don't love rewatching them because you don't know the story. It's because it has a good story. Hopefully that's the case with THE FORCE AWAKENS.

STAR WARS: EPISODE VII – THE FORCE AWAKENS opens in theaters on December 18, 2015.
