Kingsman: The Secret Service sequel will hit theaters June 2017

Kingsman 2 Matthew Vaughn Taron Egerton

Earlier this month, we learned that production on a sequel to KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE will begin in April of next year with Taron Egerton returning as Gary "Eggsy" Unwin (before the actor moves on to Lionsgate's ROBIN HOOD: ORIGINS), and now Box Office Mojo is reporting that the follow up has been scheduled to hit theaters on June 6, 2017.

Although there's still no word on if Matthew Vaughn will be back to helm KINGSMAN 2, he's been working on the film's script, and it does sound like he wants to direct it, based on his comments from earlier this year. There's been talk of a certain character from the first movie possibly appearing in the sequel, but at the moment, Egerton is the only cast member definitely set to return.

KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE was loosely based on the Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons comic book series, which only ran for six issues, so I'm very interested in learning more about Vaughn's plans for the movie sequel. Any thoughts on who should play the villain in KINGSMAN 2? Maybe a former (or current) Bond actor?
