Adrienne King and Lar Park Lincoln join fellow F13 stars in 13 Fanboy

With the FRIDAY THE 13TH franchise looking likely to be bogged down in legal issues for a couple more years, we're keeping an eye on the slasher project 13 FANBOY, which is set to star several F13 veterans – and is also being directed by one.

FRIDAY THE 13TH: A NEW BEGINNING's Deborah Voorhees is at the helm of the film, and has written the screenplay with producer Joel Paul Reisig. Previously announced cast members include Kane Hodder, C.J. Graham, Thom Mathews, Judie Aronson, Tracie Savage, Jennifer Banko, Ron Sloan, Carol Locatell, Corey Feldman, Dee Wallace, Andrew Leighty, Vincente DiSanti, Hayley Reece Greenbauer, and Voorhees herself.

Two more familiar names have now been added to the cast list: original FRIDAY THE 13TH final girl Adrienne King, and FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VII: THE NEW BLOOD's heroine Lar Park Lincoln (pictured above).

13 FANBOY will tell the following story: 

As a child, Kelsie witnesses the murder of her grandmother, a Friday the 13th actress, at the hands of a crazy fanboy. As an adult, she discovers her grandmother isn't the only victim and finds herself battling to save the life of her grandmother's best friend, also an actress from Friday the 13th, only to find she is now being targeted by the killer. But who is the killer? So many suspects, including the man lying beside her.

King had passed on the chance to take part in 13 FANBOY, and given that she really did have to deal with a stalker who became obsessed with her after seeing FRIDAY THE 13TH it is very understandable that she felt this story hit too close to home. But after a strong show of support from fans, King talked to Voorhees about it and they found a way to work her into the film. Voorhees says this won't just be a cameo, and that it's a "stellar role" for King.

Lincoln has been wanting to play her telekinetic NEW BLOOD character Tina in another FRIDAY THE 13TH, and is so enthusiastic about the idea that she even wrote a script for a "Tina returns" F13 sequel with her husband. If Tina returns to the F13 series it won't be happening any time soon, but at least Lincoln will be in 13 FANBOY.

13 FANBOY begins filming next month. We'll keep you updated as this project continues to move forward.
