Back to the Future musical sets its time circuits for a Broadway 2023 opening

Great Scott! The Back to the Future musical is heading to Broadway in 2023! The official Twitter account for the popular stage show announced the musical’s West End destination. Additionally, fans can reserve tickets to upcoming performances now.

“Synchronize Your Watches — The Future’s coming to Broadway in 2023!!!,” the tweet, which includes a brief teaser clip, says. The teaser features Marty and Doc Brown inside the Delorean, speeding toward a new destination in time and space. Before the duo disappears into the unknown, they exchange a knowing glance, confirming they’re about to experience some serious shit.

The musical, based on the 1985 hit film that starred Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, includes music and lyrics by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard and a book by Bob Gale, adapted from the original screenplay by Robert Zemeckis and Gale.

The Back to the Future musical opened to rave reviews in 2021, with Olly Dobson playing Marty McFly and Roger Bart as Emmett “Doc” Brown. The Back to the Future musical was named Best New Musical at the 2022 Olivier Awards. Now, more people can experience the time-hopping adventure on the Broadway stage.
