Hot on the heels of the recent rumor that Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor, Monica Bellucci and Ron Perlman are up for roles in JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK comes word from Heroic Hollywood that Ben Mendelsohn (ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES) is also being considered for a part in the planned film. According to their sources, Mendelsohn is being eyed to play Swamp Thing nemesis Anton Arcane, but apparently the actor doesn't want to take the role until he knows who will be directing.

Anton Arcane, sometimes simply known as Arcane, is an evil sorcerer and scientist whose obsession with gaining immortality has led him to create monstrous creatures known as "Un-Men" as well as other monstrous biogenetic experimentations involving the dead. Another one of his creations was the Patchwork Man, who had once been Anton's own brother Gregori.

JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK doesn't have a release date yet, but Warner Bros. is reportedly aiming to start production sometime next year.
