Bill Murray Stories: Life Lessons Learned From a Mystical Man trailer debuts

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Whether he's crashing a wedding, serving you a shoddily made Chipotle-brand burrito, or acting as your tour guide along the Appalachian Trail, Bill Murray has cemented himself as one of the most enigmatic figures in Hollywood. Having lived in New York for upward of 35 years, I've heard my fair share of Bill Murray stories, let me tell you. That being said, one filmmaker by the name of Tommy Avallone has chosen to take the Sasquatch-like tales of the GHOSTBUSTERS actor to the next level with the upcoming documentary BILL MURRAY: LIFE LESSONS LEARNED FROM A MYSTICAL MAN.

Here's the official synopsis:

The documentary follows one man's journey to find meaning in Bill Murray's many unexpected adventures with everyday people. Featuring rare and never-before seen footage of the comedic icon participating in stories previously presumed to be urban legend. Whether it be singing karaoke late at night with strangers or crashing a kickball game in the middle of the afternoon, Bill Murray lives in the moment and by doing so, creates magic with real people.

In addition to uncovering the sphinxlike antics of the iconic actor, several personalities who share ties to the international man of mystery also take part in the film as witnesses to his random acts of brilliance, such as Joel Murray, Peter Farrelly, Gavin Edwards, David Allan, Jordan Goetz, Josh Horowitz, Brian Gallagher, and more.

Written by Tommy Avallone and Max Paolucci with distribution being handled by Gravitas Ventures, BILL MURRAY: LIFE LESSONS LEARNED FROM A MYSTICAL MAN will appear in select theaters, and will be made available on VOD and Digital HD, on October 26th
