The Friday night release date shuffle is in full swing! Hot on the heels of TENET, BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC, and WITHOUT REMORSE all shifting their release dates in the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, word has come via Disney that their live-action version of MULAN has been moved to August 21st. MULAN was one of the first films to be delayed due to Coronavirus, with it originally set to open in March. In fact, the press junket screenings and the premiere had already happened.

According to Deadline, it's not only the fact that the status of movie theaters in certain major North American cities is still a question, but also due to the fact that theaters in China have yet to get the ok to reopen. However, the company still plans to debut the film theatrically sooner rather than later. I assume Disney's just waiting for the green light at this point, but who knows when it'll come.
