Doom hires new composers after split with Mick Gordon

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

I loved the new DOOM reboot! While I grew up with the original DOS version, the new games really modernized the franchise, without sacrificing the initial appeal. However, if you weren't aware, there was unfortunately a fallout between Bethesda – the developers of the recent DOOM reboot and its sequel DOOM ETERNAL – and composer Mike Gordon, and there was a question of who would compose the upcoming DLC (including the recently announced THE ANCIENT GODS pack).

Well, according to Twitter, it looks like that task falls on Andrew Hulshult, who is no stranger to DOOM, as he did the score for the BRUTAL DOOM fan mod, before moving on to other games like DUSK and WRATH: AEON OF RUIN! Hulshult will be sharing composing duties with his partner David Levy!

Meanwhile, the upcoming ANCIENT GODS, PART ONE DLC will be coming to consoles and PC October 18th!

So what do you guys think? Either way, sound off below!
