Last Updated on July 30, 2021

A new episode of our video series THE HORROR MOVIE THAT ALMOST WAS has been released just in time for Halloween, and given that Michael Myers' favorite holiday is this weekend this was the perfect time to take a look at a HALLOWEEN film that almost was: HALLOWEEN 3D, from the MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D team of Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer – who also happen to be this episode's special guests!

Lussier and Farmer sat down to talk with us about the HALLOWEEN film they were plotting together, letting us know exactly what they were going to do with one of horror's most famous franchises. Was their story connected to the Rob Zombie films, or to John Carpenter's original HALLOWEEN? Check out the video above for all the info!

In the HORROR MOVIE THAT ALMOST WAS series,

we take a look at horror films that went deep into development, pre-production or actual production, to then nose dive and crash & burn. What happened? What went wrong? Did we miss out on some hidden gems, or did we dodge messy bullets? Let's find out!

The HALLOWEEN 3D episode was written, narrated, and edited by Tyler Nichols. THE HORROR MOVIE THAT ALMOST WAS is produced by John Fallon and executive produced by Berge Garabedian.

The series made its debut with an episode dedicated to the RESIDENT EVIL movie that was going to be written and directed by George A. Romero. That episode can be seen below, and to see more of the shows we have to offer you can head over to the JoBlo Horror YouTube channel. Subscribe while you're there!
