Happy Gilmore

This is a fun movie. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen it now, but it never ceases to amuse me. There’s a cute story, a great character in the very angry Happy Gilmore, excellent one-liners and a superb cast of supporting characters.

Christopher McDonald triumphs as Shooter McGavin, Carl Weathers is perfect as the golf pro (“Spoken like a true asshole!”) and Ben Stiller, just hilarious as the sadistic orderly. Just pure, unadulterated fun!

And let’s not forget the whole Bob Barker bit (“The price is wrong, bitch!”). Am I the only prick who thinks this movie is the best of Sandler’s bunch!?

McGavin: I eat pieces of shit like you for breakfast!
Gilmore: You eat pieces of shit for breakfast?!

Grandma: Sir, can I trouble you for a warm glass of milk? It helps me go to sleep.
Orderly: You can trouble me for a warm glass of shut-the-hell-up! Now, you will go to sleep or I will put you to sleep. You’re in my world now, grandma.
