Netflix & Del Toro's horror anthology series starts production soon

As I'm pretty sure we all know by this point in time, Netflix & Guillermo del Toro are teaming together for the streaming giant's first original horror anthology series officially called GUILLERMO DEL TORO PRESENTS 10 AFTER MIDNIGHT. And today we have word - in a roundabout way - that production is set to kick off soon on the horror anthology series.

The news comes to us from Deadline which reports on Netflix creating a dedicated production hub in Toronto. Evidently, they will lease 4 sound stages, office space, and support space at Cinespace Studios and will also lease 4 sound stages and adjacent office space at Pinewood Toronto Studios.

But that's all technical groggily-gook. What really matters is that this space is set up to be the sight for production on 10 AFTER MIDNIGHT... and some movie called LET IT SNOW. But whatever, at least 10 AFTER MIDNIGHT is actually happening. Bring it on!

Here's a vague rundown on the series:

In this new genre-defining anthology series, Del Toro will present a collection of personally curated stories, that are both equally sophisticated and horrific.

Again, not much to go on. But that said, creator and executive producer del Toro will bring his own visionary style as both a writer and director to certain episodes. In addition, he will handpick a team of the genre’s best writers and filmmakers to bring his selection of stories to life. With this first live-action series, del Toro and Netflix extend their collaboration, which began with the award-winning animated series TROLLHUNTERS.

Del Toro will be teaming once again with THE SHAPE OF WATER producer J. Miles Dale, who serves as executive producer, along with Gary Ungar (Exile Entertainment) on 10 AFTER MIDNIGHT and with production looking to kick off sooner rather than later I'd imagine we can expect to hear more from the sure to be killer series in the near future. How excited are you for Netflix & Guillermo del Toro's 10 AFTER MIDNIGHT? Let us know below.
