The Strangers: Prey at Night will be screening at the pool seen in the film

The Strangers: Prey at Night Johannes Roberts

One of the most memorable moments from director Johannes Roberts' THE STRANGERS: PREY AT NIGHT, the long awaited follow-up to Bryan Bertino's THE STRANGERS, took place in a swimming pool, and this summer fans will get a chance to watch the movie while lounging around and swimming in that very pool. With a couple of the strangers in attendance!

The PREY AT NIGHT screening will be part of the On Set Cinema series of screenings that will be occurring throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Kentucky over the next several months. The brainchild of Kenny Caperton (who lives in a replica of the Myers House as seen in the original HALLOWEEN), On Set Cinema will be showing movies at their filming locations.

Imagine your favorite movie of all time. Do you remember how it felt when you first saw it? Maybe you were a child or possibly a teenager in high school. Did you watch it with your best friend or on a first date? Remember when your heart skipped a beat when the killer jumped out from behind the door? Or when you heard that theme music for the first time? Each time you rewatch that movie you are somehow transported back to the first time.

When you're a true fan of something, you want to be surrounded by it and live in it if you could. We all know there's only so close you can get to a movie when you're watching it from home on the couch. But what if it was possible to get closer? What if you could step into the screen for a moment? Introducing ON SET CINEMA, an exciting way for fans to experience the films and shows they love: up close, in person, and at the filming locations where they were shot!

Falmouth, Kentucky - The Pool at Kincaid Lake State Park

Take a family road trip with me to visit Uncle Marvin and check out a very special ON SET CINEMA screening of The Strangers: Prey at Night! I will be showing the film in Falmouth, Kentucky at the infamous pool located in Kincaid Lake State Park (aka Gatlin Lake Gataway). Everyone will be able to swim and float in the pool while watching the movie! ...but swim at your own risk, because the Man in the Mask himself (Damian Maffei) & Pin-Up Girl (Lea Enslin) will be there!! I will be doing an autograph signing with several members of the cast and crew (including Damian & Lea) at the Kincaid store and gift shop (the trailer park office from the movie). Fans will also be able to get pictures with Damian & Lea in front of one of the actual light up palm trees from the pool scene! So start packing and get ready to experience …a total eclipse of the heart.

Make a weekend vacation out of it and come camping at beautiful Kincaid Lake State Park! The campground features 75 tent sites and 84 standard electric sites with water hookups. The park also offers pedal boating, fishing, miniature golf, hiking trails, basketball and more. Several scenes from Prey at Night were filmed at Kincaid, including the pool scene, the trailer park office scenes, as well as the playground scenes.

Also, on Friday night (August 24th) at 7pm we will be having a get together for dinner at Fillmore's Dairy Hut in Florence KY, which is the filming location where Mike, Cindy, Luke & Kinsey stop off for dinner. More details soon!

Byrne (Young Son in truck at the end), Jodi Byrne (Head Makeup Artist), Nick Pirrmann (Location Manager)

This does sound like a pretty awesome event. I would love to go to most, if not all, of the screenings in the On Set Cinema line-up. It's especially cool that they'll be showing THE STRANGERS and PREY AT NIGHT at their filming locations in back-to-back weeks.
