Man, everyone wants to work with Kevin Hart, including F. Gary Gray. News has come down the wire that Hart and Gray are teaming up for the first time for a heist movie called Lift at Netflix. According to Deadline, Netflix scored the project last March after reading a spec script by Dan Kunka.

Per the script, Hart will play a master thief who is wooed by his ex-girlfriend and the FBI to pull off an impossible heist with his international crew on a 777 flying from London to Zurich.

On the production side of things, Lift has some heavy-hitters eager to pull off the mile-high heist. I’m talking about Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon of Genre Pictures, Matt Reeves and Adam Kassan of 6th & Idaho, and Hart and Brian Smiley for Hartbeat Productions.

Up next for F. Gary Gray is Muscle, an action-comedy starring Vin Diesel and Olivia Day, with a plot that remains under wraps at this time. Gray is also slated to direct M.A.S.K. Mobile Armored Strike Kommand, based on the French animated television series produced by DIC Enterprises and ICC TV Productions. Yo, I used to love M.A.S.K. when I was a kid. I had a bunch of the action figures, and they were badass. I have no idea what Gray has planned for this adaptation, but I am already all in.

After wrapping Borderlands for director Eli Roth, Hart worked his way over to DC for the studio’s DC League of Super-Pets. Hart voices Ace in the upcoming animated film, which also stars Dwayne Johnson as Krypto, Keanu Reeves, John Krasinski, Kate McKinnon, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Vanessa Bayer, Jameela Jamil, and Marc Maron as Lex Luthor.
